R. have given up the Idea of entertain ing the state conference in November. The chapter is small and recently es tablished and feels that the under taking is too great, but the principal reason is that the Presbyterian syn od meets at the same time in this city and of course this lairge body of visitors would tax the hospitality of our people greatly thereby prelud ing ithp possibility oil entertaining another convention.
