he wants to stop the production of
"The James Boys in Missouri,” which
is a blood and thunder play right up

Mr. James says he is portrayed as
a train robber, gambler and fugitive

"a number of years” a man of good
reputation. Tie feels disgraced and
humiliated.

MK. PARKERS EXPERIENCE
WITH A NEWS ADVERTISEMENT
“You will have to take that ad.
out or 1 will have to buy another
horse and wagon,” said Mr. C. L. Par.
ker, the popular grocer to a repre
sentative of the News yesterday.
Continuing Mr. Parker said: "Your
paper is certainly read in all parts
of the city and my advertisement has
certainly proven to be a good invest
ment for me and my business has in
creased at a wonderful rate since the
ad. appeared and I am getting new
customers rapidly."
The reason is plain.
The News is read by the buying
public and when they go to Mr. Par
ker they find everything just as rep.
resented and prices low as they pos
slbly can be. in other words they
arc satisfied after giving him
one order that he will make their deal
ings with him satisfactory in every
sense of the worn.

heart trouble can remember when it

Indigestion. All food taken into the

Water liefore Meals.
While the general opinion of those
supposed to be authorities on this mat
ter has heoii that the habit ,-jf drinking
water at meals is a deleterious one, it
Is now stated, to recent in
vestigations. that a little water, if not
too cold, is beueticial, as it assists In
the digestion of food. A too copious
supply of water dilutes the gastric
juice, and if too cold it lowers the tern
perature of the stomach below normal
tints impairing digestion. If. however,
water is taken In limited quantities, the
peptones formed uy the action of gas
tric juice on food will he washed aside,
thereby facilitating absorption. By this
means the undigested food is laid bare
and Is more susceptible to further a
tlou of the gastric juice. During the
period of rest phlegm, being very tena
cious, prevents the free flow of gastric
Juice for some time, hence delays di
gestion. A drink of water before meals
Is recommended because it loosens and
washes away this deposit of mucus,
thereby permitting the gastric juice to
attack tlie food ns it enters the stom
ach.— Boston Transcript
