Politics continue to get liviler
Augusta Is evidently not a military
town. p ,■/>
It was harmony with a string tied
to it.
It Is every man's duty to register
and vote.
The man who craves notoriety is
to he pitied.
Harmony with all the offices. A
peculiar harmony, this.
The slate lair is a great success.
f ofera*u 1 ate Macon.
Brunswick is foremost among tlio
healthy cities of the United States.
Roosevelt will find Gorman or any
other dedmoernt a hard proposition.
Every man should see that he gets
his name among the list of register
ed voters.
If ii political finlil had to come wo
toe glad that It is a good natureil
one.
Keep up the work on onr streets,
flood streets are always an evidence
of prosperity.
Tampa Is having some more poli
tics. Misurv likes ixiuipuny. We have
troubles of our own.
Howie's crusade in New York is
about to end. lie is lik/i the rest of
the religous grafters.
Old man GOl'uiau seems to be gun
oing for Teddy's scalp. Here's suc
cess to the old gentleman.
Whether Howie denounces the pa
pers or not he seems to get all the
free advertising lio is looking for.
The Mens Club is gradually becom
Jng a very strong organization in the
city and is doing lots ol' work. Such
'■institutions urc always good for a
community.
It takes a good press association lo
keep track of Miss Alice. Sho skips
soul Hits all over the country, lu
other worfls, the president's daughter
is somewhwat of a politicau herself.
Hid it ever occur to you that a
committee of gentlemen now holding
office is a mighty poor one to appoint
to hunt up "harmony?" The particu
lar brand of "harmony," if located,
might deprive them of their offices,
don’t you know.
IT IS YOUR DUTY.
The first duty of every good citi
t cn is 10 lake such action as will equip
him for that degree ot citizenship
lhat enables him, at all times, to
protect the best iuterest Oil the com
community in which ho lives.
That is the situation now confront
ing the people of this city.
There is a crisis in the affairs of
Brunswick that must be fought out
at the polls.
Will you retain in power a polit
ical parly lost to all iuterest except
the advancement of its own mem
bers?
Will you perpetuate, as the domina
ting I* Ulienees of tile community, a
jxdith-al or@atiizaiton that has resorted
to every means to humiliate and in-
jure all citizens not enrolled as mem
bers of the party ?
Will you retain as the rulers of this
city a crowd soi hidebound that they
have actually elected persons to office
who were not iu the slightest fashion
qualified lor such portion, for no
better reason than the party applying
and qualified lor same did not vote
for their retention in office?
Those are a few of the questions
now before tbe people of Brunswick.
The Good Government club has nev
er redeemed a single platform pledge
made to the people, i hey came into
office on a wave of reform and have
been notable lor being the worst coi
ruptionibts Brunswick lias over had
to contend with.
j.ateiy, seeing defeat staring tUent,
in the face, they cried for "harmony”
and when it was offered to them, and
after accepting it, they turned delib
erately around and repudiated it.
They are alone responsible for the
discord and the bickering and tlio
strife now existing in local politics;
and we charge them with the respon
sibility lor same.
If you would remove this party of
politicians from power, go down to
the city hall and place your name cm
(lie registration list and in December
go to the polls and vote against their
ticket
We need a change of some kind
and for our part we are willing to
lake most anyone that comes along,
for certainly we cannot get any worse
than we now have.
..Go and register.

THE PRICE OF A LIFE
is sometimes included in a prescrip
tion that costs fifty cents. Maybe
first grade drugs would just barely
cure, and second grade drugs prove
just a trifle too weak. Life some
times hangs by a hair, and that hair
may be the quality of a single drug.
We buy only the highest grades, ir
respective of cost. In tho filling of
prescriptions, profits ars the last
tilings we think of.
