Rev. J. 0. Patton preached Sunday
morning at the First Methodist church
and Rev. Mr. Searight preached at
night. The sermons were much en
joyed by the large congregations pres
ent both these divines being eloquent
and earnest preachers.
The music at the Catholic church
Sunday was extremely fine. The solos
of Talulah Fleming were ex
quisitely sung and charmed her hear

E. Sherman also rendered beautiful
solos.

BAD HABITS
Improper Food Often Leads to Tobac
co and Drink.
Impropr fowl creates abnormal
tastes and there are many eases on
the medical records where tiie liquor
audit and the tobacco habit have been
caused by wrong food and have easily
been cured by the use of the scientific!
lood Grape-Nuts which so thoroughly
nourishes and rebuilds the nerves that
they stop the cry for stimulants.
A business man says: “For thirty
years 1 smoked on the average of 10
or ia cigars a day and then my ner
\ oils system collapsed and 1 had about
made tip my mind that it was all up
with me for 1 had tried many times
break off lrom the tobacco out it
always tailed.
“Last May 1 was so run down I only
weighed 111 pounds and I realized that
1 must stop smoking and stuck to it
tor about ten days but was so ner
vous and out of sorts my family told
me i had better go back to smoking
ns it was impossible to live with me.
it was just about the time my wife
brought a package of Grape-Nuts on
the table one morning and as i could
eat nothing else she induced me to
try a little of that. So i took a tea
spoontul of it and strange to say
it tasted good and by the time I had it
down 1 knew it had gone tu the
right spot so I took .some more and it
was tiie lirst food 1 had relished for
v eeks.
"So i kept up tiie use of Grape-
Nuts and as my appetite came back
added other foods and I am now back
to my old weight of 133 pounds and
never felt better in my life and
strange a; it may seem 1 have no far
ther craving for tho toUicco aud I
thoroughly believe that only the cour
age and ambition I got out of the food
Grape-Nuts has given me the strength
to quit smoking. If everyone knew
the power of the wonderful food you
would nyt. be able to build a factory
big enough to supply it. Name given
by Be-: turn Cos., Battle Creek, Mich.
TheVe's a" reason.
