learn that Mr. Grover Fahm, of Tex
as, formerly a resident of this city,
has been stricken with paralysis and
is quite ill.

dancing a fancy clog dance. The

Elks memorial service tomorrow night
will be held tonight at the opera house.

terday, Mr. H. M. King complimenting
the teachers and schoolmates of Miss
Irene King and Master Barrington
King. The oysters were roasted in
the open air and the cr w<l enjoyed
the beautiful effecct of the sunset

COLORED MINISTERS IN SESSION.
Very Intereeting Meeting Held Yester
day— Brunswick Man Lay Delegate.
The conference of colored Methodist
ministers, wbioh is in session at the
colored Methodist t-hurcch on Albany
street, is receiving a very large at*
tendance and each service the church
is pretty well packed.
The sessions have all been of unus
ual interest, and a number ofvery able
men have been making speeches at
the several sessions and much inter
est has been manifested in them all.
At the session yesterday a lay dele
gate was elected to the general con
ference which meets in Los Angeles,
Cal., next May. There were several
candidates for this place, but S. A.
Hail, of the Brunswick postofflce de
partment, was the victor. The election
of the minlisterial delegates will oc
cur Monday.
The delegates are all being well
cared for by Brunswick’s colored citi
zens.
