On account of the death of Dr.
Hugh Burford. Rev. Wyllys Rede has
withdrawn his invitation to the war
dens of the vestry of St Mark's church
to dine with him tonight.
Mrs. C. W. Sheppard and Miss Jen
nie Shepard have arrived from Fort
Valley to make their home in this
city. Their many friends here are
glad to welcome them hack among
them.

A fancy work sale will he held De
cember 15th by the Ladies' Aid Society
of the Methodist church and all who
wish to buy pretty and useful ar
ticles for Christmas gifts will find
them at this bazaar. The proceeds
of the sale will go toward the new
church fund and the ladies deserve the
patronage of the public.

The Riflemen's fair will be open
Saturday night when the articles still
on hand will be raffled off. among
them the handsome goat and wagon,
the lacc cellar, now on exhibition at
Kaiser’s, the Gibson picture, the baby
doll and go cart and several other
articles. There will also be an auc
tion of a number of other things in
cluding the pot plants and a number
of fancy articles. A lot of candy will
be raffled and dancing will he free.
Everybody should attend this last
night of the fair.
