AROUND OUR CITY, ——?♦ — An interesting program is being arranged by the Purvis Grammar school for next Wednesday and Thurs day. There were only three cases up for trial at the session of the municipal court yesterday morning. Theodore Johnson was arrested and placed in jail yesterday charged with stealing a gold watch and a purse from a white man Tuesday night. A meeting of the civic league will be held at the Mens’ club rooms on Mansfield street this afternoon, and a full attendance is requested. In the superior court today the crim inal docket will be disposed of. There are net vorfy many interesting cases to be tried. Everything was quite lively over the city yesterday .caused by the street fair. Two or three small attractions ,etc„ have opened up on Newcastle street. The board of trade will hold its reg ular weekly meeting at the city hall this mortoing. Several matters of im portance are tot be discussed and a full) attendance of te members is de sired. Tin- hoarding house people of Brunswick report that they are al ready well crowded with winter tourists A large number have arrived in the city, while many have engaged accom modation fox later!
