The thermometer took a downward
shoot late last night and dropped well
down into th§ thirties. However, it
grew warmer at an early hour thia
morning.
All the merchants expect a good
business in their respective lines to
day. All of the laborers will be paid j
off and many of them will do their
Christinas shopping.
This is the last day to pay the;
county taxes, as the books will close
this afternoon.
Everything at Jekyl is now in read
iness for the opening of the season,
which will’ occur shortly.
Attention is directed to the large
display ad. of Levy’s elsewhere in this
issue. This well known and popular

TAX NOTICE.
Additional time ha been granted |
by the mayor and council in which to
pay 1903 city taxes. The last day
under the ordinance, was November
30th. By special order, I am author
ized to receipt for taxes until Monday
December 28th, 1903. The digests will
then be turned over to the clerk of
council, who will be obliged to issue
executions against all In default. Pay
now, In order that you may save costs
of execution.
