WILD WITH
ITCHING SCULP
Hair Fell Out and Was Rapidly Be
coming Bald—Tried Many Reme
dies Without Success For Two
Years—Hair Restored and Speedily
CURED BY CUTICURA
SOAP AND OINTMENT
“I was greatly annoyed by dandruff
for two years. It was so bad that
when I combed my hair large flakes
would fall front the comb.. The itching
of the scalp at times was almost'un
bearable. Then my hair began to fall
out, starting at the temples. The hair
grew thin and I was rapidly becoming
bald. Nothing I used gave any relief
until I began to use t utieura Reap and
Ointment. The first week l used them
they relieved me of the itching scalp,
and after six months’constant use the
dandruff disappeared, my hair grew
over the bald spots, and my scalp be
came clean and healthy.
“For the first two months I sham
pooed my head three times a week
with warm water and Cuticura Snap
and applied Cuticura Ointment after
each shampoo. I used five Boxes of
Ointment and seven cakes of Soap,

Cured by Cuticura.
. The agonizing itching and burning
of the skin,as in eczema; the frightful
scaling, as in psoriasis; the loss of hair
and crusting of scalp, as in availed
head; the facial disfigurement, as in
pimples and ringworm; the awful ut
tering of infants, and anxiety of worn
out parents, as- in milk crust, tetter,
and salt rheum —all demand a remedy
of almost superhuman virtues to suc
cessfully cope with them. Thai. Cuti
etira Soap, Ointment, and rills are
such stands proven beyond all doubt.

The national flag flies over the "gov

! group of mills in which the Cranes
have made paper for more than a cen
tury. The founder was Zenas Crane.
Before he eottld get the first mil! start-,
etl he had to have a large quantity i>f
rags. But rags were scarcer in llmse
. -ays tl.au now. The Italian had not
then arrived, the junk shop was un
known, and, although the rag buyer
passed through the streets of Boston
once a week, he had not yet appeared
in the western part of the state. This
resulted in t appeal to the people,
based on T h economic and patriotic
grounds. Hr. .H ills appeared with the
headlines in large type: “Americans,
encourage your own manufactures,
and they will improve! Ladies, save
your rags!”
They were carried to all the homes
and simps iti Berkshire and adjoining
•counties, urging “every woman who
has the good of her country and the
interests of her family at. heart" to
save her rags and send them to the
new factory or to the nearest store
keeper, "and a generous price will he
paid.” When the mill was ready the
rags were there in abundance, and op
erations at once commenced. The
working force consisted of four men, 1
two girls and a small boy. with Zenas |
Crane as superintendent and chief pro
prletor. The paper was made in hand
molds, and the output was 100 pounds
a day. Today the output is many
tons of the finest bank note paper.—

they will come into contact and pro

winds.
Rome wind bells produce sounds tliat
