The establishment of anew divis ion of the Southern railway, with the superintendent's headquarters in Macon, will mean much for Bruns wick as well as all stations on the line between Macon and Brunswick. Heretofore the 'line of the Southern from Atlanta to Brunswick and Jack sonville, has been under the same superintendent as the line from At lanta to Chattanooga, and therefore this section of the road has not re ceived the proper attention, and it is believed that the establishment of the new division will bring about many iieede' 1 improvements on the line be tween Macon and Brunswick. The following from the Macon News of yesterday will be of inter est in this city generally, for the rea son that Brunswick is in the new: division of the Southern railway, over which Snip. Kagan will preside: Mr. F. J. Kgan, who has just been transferred to the office of superin tendent of the lately created Macon | division of the Southern railroad, ar rived in Macon this morning and r. now engaged in getting ready for the J opening of the new offices.
