Several members of the Brunswick- Riflemen, who chose to visit their best girls rather than attend an im portant meeting of the company la; t night, were suddenly surprised when a detail from the company marched on the piazzas, knocked the door and asked if different members of the company were present, and, upgn re sponding to the inquiry, were taken in charge anti escorted to the armory by rite squad. When the meeting was called to order a large majority of the members were present, but Capt. minn thought it the duty of every member who could nossibly do so to be present. He decided to seud out a detail aftor some of the men, and other member* who were present qui lily announced that they knew where different tneui ,bers could be found and were anxious to be in the detail to go after them. The squad was out for probably Half an hour aud returned with sev eral members. Some of them wove found loitering around the drug stores, while others were seated by a comfortable fire chatting with the beßt girls, but It made no difference with the squad and though they envied the absent members.
