cruiting Station Recently Es

Lieutenant I>. V. Beckham, artillery
corps, recruiting oflicer In charge of
tho Savannah district, was among the
visitors to the city yesterday. He
came over for the purpose of Inspect
u% the local recruiting office which
is in charge of Corporal Rioux, and
was very much pleased with tho pro
gress (that officer has made since
Uis brief stay in Brunswick.
While in the city Lieut. Beckham
also accepted a recruit for the coast
artillery, who will leave this morning
for Fort Sloeum, New York. The
new recruit is a Brunswicklan but un
der the rules of the department his
name cannot be given out.

is growing in popularity and numbers
of applications for the various branch

daily
