The sheriff, Instead of taking the
Seaboard Air Line at Bladen for Jack
sonville.,. he waited for the Coast
Line from this city, went to Waycross
and then took another Coast Lin,
tiain for Jacksonville, while a mob
waited J Rhine for the officer to
come along on the Seaboard. The
Pemandlna sheriff thus dodged the
mob and saved a probable lynching.
