Tfie Flower Mission of the W .('.
T. U. had set apart yesterday as the
day to be observed in a beautiful
manner throughout the land and”in
Brunswick the members held an es
pecially appropriate and successful
meeting. A delightful program was
rendered before a large and appreci
ative audience at the Baptist church,
and this was followei. by a demon
stration of the principles of the Loyal
Temperance Legion, composed of chil
dren between the ages of five aitd
fourteen years. After this the menial
hers Avent forth <m a lovely errand,
carrying quantities of beautiful flow-
.ers to the hospital fo be Riven to the
sick' and to all other sick people of
whom they had knowledge. Each
graceful bouquet was tied with white
I ribbon, the emblem of the union, and
! a card with a comforting verse of
[ Scripture was attached. In all direc-
I lions they went with' their fragrant
burden, bringing brightness and a
, breath of the outside world to many
I weary sufferers. This is truly a
beautiful work and the ladies who
so heartily entered into It deserve
! much credit for- the splendid observ-
I ance of Flower Mission Day in this
| city. Those interested in the oceas
ion wish o especially thank Mr, 1-1.
S. McCrary, who kindly tendered the
carryall for their use, and also all
who contributed flowers for the sick
people.
