MOTHER WOMAN
JUSTLY INDIGNANT
CHARGED WITH LARCENY, MRS.
RIDLEY DEMANDS SPEEDY
TRIAL.
Atlanta, June 17.—The hundreds of
friends ot Mrs. F. J. Ridley are Indig
nant over the reports coming from
Newark, N. J., showing that her trial
cn the charge of larceny had been
Indefinitely postponed.
The report, which is of interest to
the many tr ends of the accused
throughout the state, is as follows:
Newark, N. J.—The trial of Mrs.
Francis J. Ridley, of Atlanta, Ga., on
a charge of the larceny of $2,000
worth of jewelry belonging to .Mrs.
Andrew Albright, of New York, was
indefinitely postponed, following a
prolonged conference between the
prosecuting authorities and Congress
man Richardson og Alabama, and Uni
ted dates District Attorney William
R. Ambrecht, also of Alabama. Con
gressman Richardson and Mr. Am
brecht had come north to testify to
the good character and standing of
Mrs. Ridley and had brought deposi
tions of a similar nature from num
erous prominent Atlanta people arid
officials of several southern states.
Mrs. Ridley and her friends insisted
on immediate trial, and expressed in
dignation when they could get no sat
isfaction as to when the case would
he taken up, the local authorities de
claring that no judge was available
to try it. Mrs. Ridley was accused
of taking a satchel containing the
jewelry while she and Mrs. Albright
were fellow-passengers on a iralri
from the south, enrou'.e to New York
on March 19 last.

“ Words cannot describe the terrible
ecEcina 1 suffered with. It broke out
on my head and kept spreading until it
covered my whole body. I was almost
a solid mass of sores from head to foot
I looked more like a piece of raw reef
than a human being. The pain and
agonv I endured swmod more than I
could bear. Blood and pus oozed from
the great sure on my scalp, from undor
my finger nails, and nearly all over my
body. My ears were so crusted and
swollen 1 was afraid they would break
off. Every hair in my head fell out.
I could not sit down, fcr my clothes
Would stick to the raw and’bleeding
flesh, making me crv out from the pain.
Mv family doctor did ail he could, but
1 get worse and worse Mv condition
was awful. 1 did not think I could live,
and wanted death to come and end my
frightful sufferings.
In this condition mv mother-in-law
begged me to try the Cuticura Rem
edies. I said I would, but had no he pa
of recovery. But oh, what blessed re
lief l experienced after applying Cuti
cura Ointment. It cooled the bleeding
and itching flesh and brought me the
tirst real sloop I had bad in weeks. It
was as grateful as ice to a burning
tongue. I would balhe with warm
water and Cuticura Soap, then apply
the Ointment freely. I also took Cuti
cura Resolvent for the blood. In a
sho.t time the srres stopped running,
the flesh I vegan to heal, and 1 knew I
Slat to get well again. Then the hair

short time I was completely cured.
I cannot praise Cuticura enough. I
wish 1 could tell everybody who has

was so terrible that what" cured me
cannot fail to cure anybody of this
awful disease. If anv one doubts the
