We like to put it in capitals
that way because we believe it
is the most important thing in
the battery business,
r Of course we can’t make anew

good battery out of a poor one,
or a long-lived battery out of a
short-lived one. There are lim

battery if we get a chance right
at the start, although we are

NAOMI CHILDERS HAS
MANY DISTINCTIONS
Naomi Childers, featured player in
Sidney Franklin’s all-star production
“Courage,” to be [presented by Albert
Kaufman at the Grand Monday and
Tuesday through Associated First Na
tional, has many distinctions. First
of all she is a beautiful woman and ac
knowledged as one of the most Artis
tic players of stage or screen.
A few of the other distinctions of
this charming actress might be men
tioned, as follows j She won a behuty
contest, but she never had a desire for
a dramatic career; her mother fairly
made her go on the stage; there is no
other member of her family who has
been on stage or screen; she is an ac
complished musician and composer
and is a deep student of the occult.
Her first engagement was with “Ev
erywomen,” where shew as cast as
“Beauty.” The engagement was term
inated at the end of four days, but it
was at Miss Childers’ request that she
bet ransferred to some other pfpduc
tion. Among the noted stage suc
cesses in whie£ this beautiful actress
woif fame were “Madame X,” “Ready
Money” and “Among Those Present.”
Since going on the screen Miss
Childers has played leading roles in
such productions as “The Yellow
Dove,” “BMndman’s Eyes.” “Shadows
of Suspicion,” “Lord and Lady Algy,”
“The Gay Lord Quex,” “The Street
Called Straight,” “Duds” and “Earth
bound.”
Her portrayal of Jean Btackmoore
in “Courage" is said to be the great
est acting of her career.
Also one of those very funny Toon
erville Trolley comedies entitled “The
Skipper Had His Fling.”

The problem of light has long been solved by electricity,
for at this time there is no home that is properly furnished
without having this service.
