Pennant Races at Season’s

Cleveland drew within two points |
of the New York Yankees in the
American leageu race yesterday,
while Pittsburgh gained a full game
on the Giants in the National League,
When St. Louis handed 'McGraw’s
men a defeat while Pittsburgh was
trimming Philadelphia. The New
York Nationals, however, still have a
good lead over Pittsburgh, and un
less they strike a bad losing streak
this week will cop the pennant. It is
different in the Americans, however,
the two leading teams being almost in
a tie. Cleveland and the Yankees
play two, more games in New York,
today and tomorrow, which should
p’ay an important part in the close
race. The result in the two leagues
yesterday were as fololws:
