Theatrical
The new photoplay at the Bijou
Theatre, today, is “Ace of Hearts,”
by Gouverneur Morris, and was pro
duoed by Goldwyn, who also made
this author’s powerful storjt, “The
'Penalty.” Those who saw the latter
picture, will remember the marvelous
impersonation of a legless fnan by
Lon Chaney. This remarkable char
acter actor has one of the three lead
ing parts in “Ace of Hearts." The
other leading roles are taken by Lea
trice Joy and John Bowers.
The story is a ( powerful drama,
dealing with the aim of a fanatical
group of reformers to destroy all the
evil doers in the world. They are so
obsessed with their idea, that they do
qot realize the fact that to destroy
individuals will not raise the moral
t ne of the universe. This truth does
not come .home to the group as a
whole; but the girt and the man she
loves, who are members of the group,
realize that their love is a far great
er thing than the destruction of a few
overweening materialists. How they
find peace and how the designs of
their colleagues are thwarted furnish
many thrilling episodes.

1 You Should Be the Same
A LARGE number of women’s ailments are not surgical
ones. Serious displacements or radical changes have not
yet taken place.
A tiny part in a fine clock may become loose and cause the
clock to gain or lose. If not attended to in time, the part may
fall from its place and cause serious trouble. So it is with
women’s ailments, they start from simple causes; but if allowed
to continue, produce serious conditions.
When the warning symptoms are first noted, take Lydia E.
Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound to relieve the present trouble
some ailment, and to prevent the development of serious trouble.
