IN MUNICIPAL COURT.
There was the usual number of of
fenders before Recorder Pope yester
day morning but the fines were not
he;vy because of the fact that in
fringements on the law were not of a
serious nature. There was a notice
able absence of teh usual number of
“drunk and disorderly” cases,

The Brunswick Service Station is
now furnishing its hundreds of cus
tomers from curb tanks but is giving
that good service for which the com
pany is now famous. In the meJn-
time work is being rushed on the new
building corner Gloucester and Union
and it will be only a short tiem before
#he company will be in its handsome

REPAIRING HOME
OF LACY M’KINNON.
A force has been put to work on the
residence of M. L. McKinnon, corner
Gloucester and Norwich streets and
it will be rushed to completion.. This
beautiful home was badly damaged by
fire several weeks ago. During the
repair period, Mr. and Mrs.-McKinnon
are occupying the ■ home of Mrs. B.[

JEWISH NEW YEAR IS
FITTINGLY OBSERVED
Rosh Hashannah, Jewish New
Year, which started Sunday after
noon at sunset, was generally observ
ed by the Jewish citizens of Bruns
wick. ITactleally all the stores of the
Hebrew merchants were closed for
the entire day and the Orthodox held
religious services in the hall on the
third story of the Brunswick Bank &
Trust company buHding.
CAMPAIGN FOR BT. JOHN’S
HAVSN WILL START TODAY.
A meeting of the committee in
Charge of the campaign for raising
funds for St, John’s Haven met at the
office of Chairman J. Hunter Hopkins
1 st night and formulated plans for
the work before the members. Today
will see Brunswick covered with
workers in the interest of this magni
ficent Institution and it is hoped that
the required number of pledges will
result from the tray's work.
