“IDLE HOURS.”
'
The dawn of the day has sofNy crept
Beyond the hills, whereTT Iras slept; ‘
The smiling sun —oh, joyous sight—
Beams like a north star of the night.
The stately trees their :rms entwine
To form an arch; a perfect shrine
’Neath which there flowS a babbling
brook,
Who woudl net seek such a sheltered
>
nook?
Here may I dream, content and lone. ’
Oh joyous moments quickly flown -
With rapture dwell upon a thought,
And, ’dreaming, hold the world as
naught.
Here in my,idle hours I lie
And gaze into the peaceful sky,
Till wings cf night, whose shadows
play
\bout the sun, would end the day.

the car owners.
