Douglas and Brunswick Are
Having Spirited Time in At-
P tendance Campaign, Which
Was Launched on Sixth of
Last Month.
The Sunday school people of Bruns
wick are becoming very much inter
ested in the attendance ’contest be
tween the Methodist Sunday school,
of Douglas, Ga. f and the First Meth
odist Sunday school of this dity. This
contest started the first Sunday In
September and ends the last Sunday
in October. The attendance at both
schools every Sunday so far, of the
contest, has been very close and as
the con(£st draws to a close the In
terest is very keen and the enthusi
asm great. Below is the standing of
the contest by Sundays:
* DOUGLAS—Sept. 6, 240; Sept. 13.
271; Sept. 18, 333; Sept. 25, 352; Oct.
2, 381; Oct. 9, 308—Total, 18S5.
BRUNSWICK—Sept. 6, 166; Sept.

Oct. 2, 351; Oct. 9, 452.—T0ta1, 1826.
As will be noticed the Douglas
school is still 59 ahead of the Bruns
wick school. The Methodist Sunday
school of this’city took the lead last
Sunday, having present 144 more than
the Douglas Sunday school. This
contest is attracting attention among
the schools, in other places in South
Georgia and the dally papers in At
lanta, Macon, and other
places are making note of the contest.
It is to be hoped that the Methodist
people will continue to take an in-
I terest in this contest for the next
j three wrecks ami hold their attendance
up. The services today will be inter
esting and the public is cordially invit
ed to attend them.
