The Court Honor held its initial
meeting yesterday at t the Board of
Trade rooms. Plans were made to
extend the Boy Scout movement in
Brunswick and Glynn county. The
troop organization plan of the Okefe
nokee council was approved. Olive
Green was the color selected for the
Glynn county scout*.

number one, announced that he had
eight first class scouts in his troop
eligible to merit badge tests. A board
of examiners is being selected and
shortly Brunswick scouts will have
every opportunity to advance in
scouteraft The organization of the
Court of Honor means much to scout
ing progress in this section of the
state. “We plan to have two hundred
Boy Scouts in Brunswick by. January
1,” said. J. B. Abrams, of the execu-
tive board.
The meeting yesterday was marked
with deep interest and real enthusi
asm in the Boy Scout movement.
Members of the court attending were
Fred G. Warde, Millard Reese, Dr. J.
W. Simmons, J. M. Jones, W. J. Butts,
and Scout Executive W. L. Sprouse,
“Men In the Making,” will be the
subject of a talk by W. L. Sprouse at
the lArco school building tonight, be
ginning at 7:30, and the public Is in
vited to hear this hard worker in boy
welfare.
At the Community school tomor
row, at the same hour, 7:30 p. m., Mr.
Sprouse will speak. Some of the sub
jects handled will be: “Character
Building,” “The Boy of Today is the
Man of Tomorrow,” and “Citizenship
Training.”
A detail of Brunswick scouts will
assist in these community meetings to
help organize.
PACKING HOUSE WORKERS IN
OMAHA SEEM TO WANT STRIKE

per cent of the packing house employ
ees here, who voted for a strike, fa
vored the authorizing of the executive
board calling a strike if they deemed
it necessary, according to union offi
cials.

Communications recently received
from officials of the Ocean Leather
Company announce that every effort
is being made to purchase a suitable
boat and as soon as this is done it will
be started on the southward trip.
While it may be true that this is
not the season when shark are more
plentiful, it is also true that a start
can be made nad the company ex
pects to make it. Porpoise, as well as
shark, will be sought and all the nec- j
essary nets, etc., have already been
secured to begin fishing operations,

cester and Monk, and will increase its
present output, adding the lines above
referred to. Brunswick is an excel
lent point of distribution and the
company will sell tts products
through this entire section.
