OPINION GENERAL THAT
STRIKE IS CERTAIN.
It until the meeting of the
United States .Labor Board in Chicago
yesterday that probably the last hope
for a settlement of the impending
setrike would be reached. The state
ments fnom the chief executives of
the Big Four Brotherhoods and the
Switchmen’s Union that nothing but
a complete settlement could keep the
men on the jobs, has caused renewed
preparation in all centers to provide
for the public, especially as far as pro
visions are concerned. Atlanta is. tak
ing the lead in caring for the state
and, with the support of the territory
adjacent, it will be enabled to dis
tribute supplies in a general way.
BRUNSWICK PROBABLY IS
LUCKIEST OF ALL CITIES.
The fact that the A.. B. & A. tra
verses a section from which supplies
can be obtained and the further fact
that this is Georgia’s great port with
easy and quick communication with
all islands of the producing nature
near us, as well as all American ports
and the further fact that the A., B.
& A. is not to be affected by the
strike, means that it will be as near
normal here as probably any place in
the country where the big roads on
which the strikefe will be declare,
touch.
