BAPTIST CHURCH TOMORROW
Rev. O. P> Gilbert urges a good at
tendance at the sunrise service at the
First Baptist church tomorrow. This
service will he held each Sabbath.

POSTS ON NEWCASTLE.
Painters engaged in treating the
white way posts on Newcastle to a
nice coat of paint, which improves the
appearance wonderfully. It will also
be of interest ot learn that Cliff (Lef

AT A. B. & A., TERMINALS.
(Followers of Isaak Walton are on
the job nearly every night rencently
at the A. B. & A., terminals and
some fine trout have been caught. It
s also said that night fishing off the
Arco docks is good.

mlttee will be called shortly and the
date of the primary for naming a city
commissi oner and anew executive
committee, will be announved. The

COUNTY POLICE HA.VE
NEW KHAKI UNIFORMS.
Chief Norris and Officers Long and
Freeman, of the county* police de
partment, are out in new khaki uni
forms and they present a "nobby” ap
pearance. They have also ordered
their winter outfits which will arrive
shortly.
HILDRETH'S OYSTER HOUSE
IS ALWAYS A BUSY PLACE.
One of the very busiest places in
Brunswick is (he oyster house of Hil
dreth Brothers, down on the river
front. The establishment furnishes
employment to nearly one hundred
hands and sbmetlraes as many as two
hundred gallons are opened In a sin
gle day. The company not only fur
nishes the *local trade hilt ships to
many points al| over Georgia.
PRELIMINARY HEARING
FOR A. A. STOKES TODAY.
A. A. Stokes, white, who was arrest
ed some days ago on a warrant charg
ing him with murder, will <be tried
before Judge Beach today, beginning
at 10 o’clock. Stoke* Is charged with
killing Sam Henderson and will en
ter, it Is said, a self-refense plea. A
great deal of Interest la being mani
fested iu the preliminary hearing thin
morning.

ARE FISHING THIS WEEK.
After being tied up for many day*
by the recent northeaster, some few

again on the Joh but no real good

these little craft are not working ev
ery merchant In the city misses the
money n all fishermen here are dt
izens and spend their earnings with

ers but these live here also.
