Jewish Leaders
Stirred to Action
By Bogen’s Report
Dr. Boris D. Bogen, general director
of the Jewish Joint Distribution Com
mittee in New York, stirred to action
the recent conference of leading Jews
from all parts of the United States in
Chicago by his word picture of the
sufferings of the Jewish refugees in
Poland and other countries'of Eastern
Europe. After listening to his report
and those of other workers, the Amer
ican Jewish Relief Committee sent out
an appeal for $14,000,000 to continu®
the relief work in Europe to which
they have already contributed $47,000,-
000.
Dr. Bogen has spent much time in
Europe serving as regional director
in Poland for the Joint Distribution
Committee which disburses the money
raised by the American Jewish Relief*
Committee and its associated fund
raising organizations.
The appeal for further fi&df mad®

Brown of Detroit from the committee's
headquarters at 103 Park Avenue, New

the committee, and its members include

Thin Frail People
Should Take Tanlac
HUNDREDS OF MEN AND WOMEN IN BRUNSWICK APPEAR

There are hundreds of thin, run-down, nervous men and

Millions of people have not only
been relieved of the most obstinato
forms of dyspepsia and indigestion by
Tanlac after other remedies have fail

reported a remarkable and rapid in
crease in weight and a return to nor

In fact, so phenomenal have been
the gains in weight by thin, frail peo

this remarkable preparation is now
being proclaimed everywhere as the
World’s Greatest Tonic.
The food people eat does them ib
