WON’T YOU?
Do you remember when you heard
My lips breathe love’s first faltering
words?
Yo do, sweet —don’t you?
When having wandered all the day,
Linked arm in arm, I dared say,
You’ll loveme —won’t you.?
Apd when you blushed and could not
speak,
I fondly kissed your glowing cheeks,
Did that affront you?
Oh, surely not; your eye exp rest
No wrath, but said, perh a ps in jest,
"You’ll love pip—won’t you?”
I’m sure my eyes replied f "I will,”
And you believe that promise Still;
Yo do, sweet —don’t you? \
Yes, yes, when age had made our Ayes
Unfit ror questions or replies, I
You/’lt love me —won’t you? \
