It’s the same story over again.
Women suffer from ailments for years.
They try doctors and different medi
cines, but feel no better. Finally they
take Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegetable
Compound and you can see its value in
the case of Mrs. Miner.
That’s the truth of the matter. If you
are suffering from any of the troubles
women have, you ought to try this med
icine. It can be taken in safety by young
or old, as it contains no harmful drugs.

SOMETHING ABOUT THE “MAR-!
WAGE OF WILLIAM ASHE."
As the Impulsive daughter of Brit
• ish nobility who tires of a convent’s
staidness and thirsts for freedom and j
brilliant society life, charming May !
Allison, the dazzling southern beauty, |
has a role surpassing all her preced
ing performances of dramatic power
and dash. She plays the part of met
tlesome Lady Kitty Bristol, who has
lied her cloistered world and married
William Ashe, Secretary for Home
Affairs. In a series of drawings
shown osiy to her husband, she satir
izes members of the British Cabinet.
But when society, or rather the soci
ety that counts, inflicts some slights
on her, she is piqued and retaliates.
Lady Kityt publishes the book of cari
catures, which threatens her hus
band’s political career—and causes a
scandal. Not satisfied with the dam
age, she appears at a lawn party as
Lady Godiva, riding on a white horse
and wearing nothing but her hair —
and causes the furore of furores.
Then, disgusted, she runs to the
rooms of—hut this is tile climax of
this exciting picture, showing at the
Bijou today, which is more thrilling
even than the famous novel by Mrs.
| Humphrey Ward, from which is was
taken, , ; *
QUEER VEHICLES
IN “MILESTONES.”
There probably never was a pic
ture filmed in which a more varied as
sortment of vehicles is used than in
“Milestones,” the new Goldwyn pic
ture, which comes to the Bijou thea
tre Wednesday, the first scenes of
which are laid in 1860.
In one scene there is featured a
donkey cart, an lEnglish tandem dog
cart and a Victoria drawn by a team.
In another scene there is an old
fashioned bicycle.
TIME TO FACE THE FACTS
“So much has been said against the
use of patent medicines that 1 have
had a strong prejudice against them.
But after four years doctoring with
six different doctors, without results,
for acute indigestion, gastritis, consti
pation, appendicitis and other al
ments, I was said to possess, I was
encouraged to try Mayr’s Wonderful
Remedy, seeing what it had done for
a friend similarly afflicted, 1 ateo
whs entirely relieved of my trouble,
and am 'sure this medicine will do all
and more than is claimed for it." It
is a simple, harmless preparation that
removes the catarrhal mucus from
the intestinal tract and allays the in
flammation which causes practically
all stomach, liver and intestinal ail
ments, including appendicitis. One
dose will convice or money refunded.

One great advantage of Tin

against fire. The National Fire
Protection Association has rat

of protection against FIRE.
Surely this should mean some
thing to you property owners.
A tin root is also most eco

Flood Gates Opened in Magic

Afternoon.
Manager Miller Has Sands and
Purvis, Whom He Secured
from Blackshear.—Both are
Well Known Here as They
Have Played Here Before.
Rain yesterday made the game
scheduled in Waycross impossible and
it is more than likely that a double
header will be played today. Mana
ger Miller went to Waycross with the
team yesterday morning and phoned
from there saying “the bottom has
just dropped out and everything is
flooded.”
For today’s game Toles will pitch
with the old reliable Hodges as re
ceiver. and if a double header is play
ed Chapman will take the box.
Waycross has an excellent aggrega
tion and if Brunswick succeeds 'in
winning two of the series of three
games it will have something to brag
about sure enough. It is stated that
the Magic City has two or more high
priced men but local fans are confi
dent of the outcome there.
Two old favorites will be in the
game today, Sands and Purvis, and
local fans know how fast these bud-

dies are. Manager Miller got them
irom the Blackshear team and they
•will likely remain with the club
throughout the season.
Thomas, of Jesup, will he in the
game Saturday. He is called the ace
of semi-pro pitchers and has done
some wonderful work in the box this
season. It is likely that he will re
main with the club also.
TO COVER GRANDSTAND AS
SOON AS WEATER PERMITS
As soon as the weather permits the
grandstand at the Norwich street
baseball park will be covered. The
stand will be thoroughly repaired and
fans can rest assured that they will
be protected from the weather at all
future games. k
The grounds will receive the atten
tion today and the pitcher’s box,
which has been in bad condition, will
be filled with suitable clay, which
was only secured yesterday. As soon
as this is done everything will be In
first class shape.

or more nearby towns are anxious to
play here. -
Negotiations have been in progress
with the Jacksonville club and just
what will be dose will be known prob

games on the home diamond.
