! DOROTHY DALTON AT
BIJOU THEATRE TODAY
They forced her to wed —though she'd
rather be dead—
i To a man in the class of her chvn,
; But though she was wife still she lived
her own life
! As the woman who walked alone.
|
.And then when the'breath of a scan
dal made Death
| Seem welcome, a way out was shown
! So with taunts being hurled she fled
i|it jn the world
As the woman who walked alone.
Her story is swift, with a thrill to each
shift;
But in Africa love claims its own;
With the real man in sight, her name’s
no longer right
As the woman who walked alone.
1 From the merrymaking and intrigue
iof titled idlers in London to the thrills
and red-blooded action of life on the
1 African veldt, is the scope of George
Melford’s latest production, “The Wo-
Gnan Who* Walked Alone,” featuring
Dorothy Dalton, at the Bijou theatre
today.
So much for contrast. There is a
vital theme running through this Par
amount picture, making it easy to
realize the character of the Countess
Lemister, who after being unjustly ac
cused by her Jealous* husband, decides
to become the “cat that walks by it
self in the wild, wet wood.”
The production is most colorful, and
the>re is action in abundant. Dorothy j
Dalton is excellent in her portrayal!
and Milton Sills, her leading man is j
artistic. Wanda Hawley is seen in a
restricted role. Other well known,
names are Charles Ogle E. J. Rad- j
cliffe, Mabel Van Bure . r\l '“Lefty” i
