Brunswick Will Receive Great
* Publicity as Result of Visit
by D. B. Scott and G. E.
Young Yesterday.
Thousands of motorists throughout
the United States will hear abovrf this
eity, as the result of the visit made
yesterday by D. B. Scott and G. E.
Young, map anl road experts of the
National Motorists’ Association.
In an official N. M. A. car, they are
en route to Florida, logging the best
routes to be recommended in touring
I literature and maps issued by the N.
I M. A. to its hundreds of affiliated au
jtomobile clubs. Messrs. Scott and
Young spent yesterday here and will
take in many Florida points.
The tour is being made in order to
revise the routes heretofore recom
mended and extensively traveled by
motorists bound to Florida from the
east, east central and central West
ern states.
Road repairing and new road con
struction, Messrs. Scott and Young
said, hade made a thorough recheck
ing of the routes necessary. Asa re
sult of their work, accurate informa
tion will be broadcasted by the N. M.
A. to all sections of the country.
The tour includes the states of Ohio,
Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia,
North and South Carolina, Georgia
and Florida. The return trip will in
clude, Tennessee also.
Generally speaking roads south
from Washington are in excellent con
dition though dusty throughout. The
roughest road encountered fs between
Augusta and Savannah, which is fair
to good, also dusty, they reported.
Messrs. Scott and Young are travel
ing in a car fully equipped for road
mapping work. They are investigat
ing some roads never -before exten
sively used by motorists 'traveling to'
.Florida from the New England, Atlan-1
tic seaboard, east, east central and
central Western states.
REGISTER LOCATES STOLEN
FORD CAR AT VALDOSTA
Officer L. F, Ridley left last night,
for Valdosta where he goes for Luth
er Carter, who was arrested at that
place on advices from Chief Register,
of this city, who located the stolen cut
down Ford of Benny Smith some days
ago.
An accident befell Carter at Valdos
ta and through this means the car was
located and also the man who took it
away who was found in a hospital in
the Lowndes capital. The officer and
his prisoner will reach here tomor
row.

Elder H. V. Skipper, the founder of
the Second Advent Christian church
of this city, now pastor of the church
in Jacksonville, is here for a few days
and is giving some very interesting
Bible discourses in the church here
near the courthouse. He has been re
quested to speak this evening on the
situation in Turkey from a prophetic
standpoint. On Friday evening lie will
give a lecture on the “Time and Eter
nity Railroad,’ ’illustrated.
Mr. Skipper is one’of the best Bible
scholars in the South and he promises
these subjects will be very interest
ing and beneficial to those who attend.
Song service begins at 7:30 p. m., and
all are invited to attend.
BASEBALL RETURNS DIRECT

Edo Miller is receiving returns from
the big league games in the building,
corner of Gloucester and Richmond
streets, and there was a large crowd
there yesterday.
Manager Scott, of the Western Un
ion, is handling the key and announ
ces the results. There will likely be
a larger crowd today than was the
case yesterday.
DENGUE FEVER VICTIM .
BURIED IN SAVANNAH
Savannah, Gn., Oct. 4.—The funer
jal of J, S. Wansley, prominent dairy
man, who died Saturday night, was
[held Monday afternoon.
Mr. Wansley was the first victim
lof tlie dengue fever in Savannah. The
disease with complications caused his

would not have died as a result of
having had the fever.
