Washington, Oct.9.—The American
Red Cross annual convention decided
to take drastic action and move aid
to the refugees of the Near East.
Director Hill is to sail soon with
uirses and seasoned relief workers.
The Red Cross divisions in Paris,
Athens and London have been cabled
to purchase and rush shipments of
canned milk and other nutritious
foods and medicines. Chairman
Payne directed expenditure of one
hundred thousand dollars at once for
relief of the fund association.
