(By Frank C. Gilreath, Jr )
Atlanta, Ga., Nov. 9.—Two magnif

today from the national capita!.
One of the cups i s the permanent
property of the Georgia school and
the other aip becomes its property
when it lias won first place three
times. The cups cost several hur

Militaiy schools, such as Riverside,
the Georgi a Military Academy at
College Park, the Georgia Military
College at Milledgevillc, the Marion
Institute at Marion, Ala., the Sewanee
Military Academy ; a t Sewanee,
Tenn., maintain units of what is
known as the Reserve Officers’
Training Corps. Those units are
presided over by Professor s of Mili

officers of the regular army that are
detailed to these schools to carry on
military instruction.
Thi s military training goes on in
the schools during the regular
academic year; then each summer the
government conducts an R. 0. T. C.
camp, to which go thos e cadets from
each school who have maintained the
best records and who are recom
mended both by the Professors of
Military Science and Tactics and the
President of the institution.
The camps at'e conducted at the
government’s expense under regular
army offeers.i and usually last from
four to s ix weeks.
During each of the last two years ;
Riverside ha s been peculiarly f rlun- ;
ate in the records which its students
have made. In 1921 the camp for
this part of the country wa K held,
at Camp Knox in Kentucky. At that;
