The Hall-M ils murder mystery ap
parently is as far from solution today
as it was when the bodies of the New
Biunsfwick, N. J,, Pastor, the Rev.
Edward Wheeler Hall, and his choir
leader, Mrs. Elgfhor Mills, were
found. Scores of persons have been
quqeqstion'ed and requestioned,
charges of Petty polities have been
made and numerous Predictions of
arrests have failed to materialize.
New and sensational evidence discov

claims to hav e witnessed the mur

THEATRICAL
FATAL IS LURE OF “PINK
GODS” AT BIJOU MONDAY
If you believe that diamonds
known a g “pink gods’’ have no pow
er over weak women, you are in er
ror. One ca n go further and as
sert that they exert their power over
all mankind; and they have been re
sponsible for moi’e crime than may
be attributed to any other agency.
In “Pink Gods,” anew Paramount
picture featuring Bebe Daniels,
James Kirkwood, Anna Q. Nilson and
Raymond Hatton, which will be seen
at the Bijou theater Monday next,
the baleful influence of these beauti
ful gems, is admirably depicted. It
is n Picturization or Cynthia Stock
ley’s South African romance, “Pi-qk
God g and Blue Demons,’’ and every
scene of the picture is vibrant with
emotion and thrill. The story deals
with two young women who fall un
der the sway of the little pink gods
and one of whom, the character por
trayed by Bebe Daniels, fall s into
seiicus difficulty when she resorts
to theft to indulge her craving for
the gems. How the other woma n is
misled by circumstances and ulti
mately finds happiness, i s excellently
shown.
