MINUTES COMMISSIONER
CITY OF BRUNSWICK,
November 13, 1922, (Official)
The commissioners of the city of
Brunswick met in tlie City Hall at 3
p. m., November 13. 1922, said meet
ing having been recessed o'er from
the regular meeting of November 6th,
1922.
Present at the meeting were all the
Commissioners towit: C. D. Ogg,
mayor and Commissioners J. L. An
drews and Maicom B. McKinnon; the
Mayor C. D. Ogg, presiding.
The mayor stated that, the first
thing to consider was the (matter o'.
arranging for th e execution and sale
of the $175,000.00 St. Simon’s
Bridge and Road Bonds.
Thereupon the following resolution

motion was seconded by Commission
er McKinnon, and after some discus
sion said resolution was unanimous!)
adopted, said resolution reading
follows:

FIXING THEIR DETAILS, PROVID
ING FOR THEIR SALE, AND PRO
VIDING TAXATION FOR THEIR

BE IT RESOLVED by the Connnis
sion of th e City of Brunswick, in
lawful meeting assembled:
Section 1. That it f s necessary im

$175,000.00 Bridge and'Utoad Bond
authorised at an election held Sep
teniber 13, 1922.
Section 2. That the city of Bruns
wick issue its negotiable bonds in th e
aggregate amount of $175,000.00, con
sisting of 175 bonds of the demonia
tion of $1,000.00 each, numbered 1
> 175. both inclusive, bearing date
of October 1, 1922, and maturing in
numerical order, lowest number;
first, $7,000.00 annually Oc
tober 1. 192S to 1952, both inclusive-
Section 3. That said bonds shall
hear interest at the late of five per
centum per annum, payable semi
annually on the first days of April
and October of each year, and the
principal and interest shall be pay
able at the City Treasurer’s office
in the City of Brunswick, Georgia, ir

signed by the Mayor and Secretary

bonds issued by said Citv for tb r
purpose of constructing and building
a road, including bridges ' thereon
under the authority of and in full
compliance with Article 7, Section r
of the Constitution of Georgia, Sec
lions 440 to 444, Park’s Annotated
Code of Georgia, 1914, and a n act
appeoved by the Geovernor of Georgia
July 18, 1922 specifically authorizing
the issuance of said bonds for said
purposes. The said series of bonds
is issued with the assent of two
third-; oft he qualified voters of said
City voting at an elec I ’bn duly call
ed and held, which two-thirds so Vot
ing were a majority of all registered
voters, and pursuant to resolutions
duly adopted by the Commission of
the City of Brunswick.
It is hereby certified and recited
