Tke“Six.”* 1165; The”Six-Sport,”*l62s; The”Four,”*B6s
For those who want the intimacy of the roadster
design, Buick provides a completely satisfying selection
of models, in appearance as well as in price. Business
men find the six-cyiinder, two-passenger roadster well
suited both to the work day trips and to social mote: ing.
Equally fine for these, and at the same time luxurious
in its appointments and smart in its snappy lines and
i- coloring is the six-cylinder spcrt-roadster—the de-luxe
model of its kind.
While a modest, dependable and convenient car is the
four-cylinder roadster. And all are Buicis with all
that Buick provides in power, dependability and
flawless performance.

The A. M. E. conference open

Woods, of the Brunswick district
lined the first hymn; Oh for a thou

fered by Rev. B. J. Ross. The deca

Americuft.
The bishop’s ajjnual address was
I filjed with facts and was listened to
with -rapt attention by the large del
egation present. He said, among oth-
er things, “I am proud to greet you,
brethren, the men who made me what
T am and I love you and I will always
do what I can for you all; Georgia is
my home and I live here and expect
to die here. I regret that over 4.000
have gone north and west, but this
is the best place. You have a better
chance to rise. I like a mountain bet
ter than a hill; a river better than
stream, because difficulties brings out
the best that there is in a man or wo
man. Brothers, let brotherly love ex
ist. I hope we will have a grar.d
[conference here. I was hcr<w!3 years
ago to a district conference and J
am proud of the splendid relation
that exists here between the races
and it’s like it should be if you wi;:
do your duty, trust God and do right
everything will move on, its God
would have it. I am not in sympathy
with my people leaving the cotton
belts of the south and I trust that
conditions will soon be better so that
there will be no cause for leaving."
Rev. Calvin Johnson was reappoint- (
ed pastor at St. Pauli church on ac
count of the demonstration •‘given him

and J. T. Hall, of Macon. Rev. J. T.
Wil'kerson, of Daltou, is leading in
the singing of the'old time melodics
for the conference.
A Pathetic scene was on hand
when Rev. A. Freeny, of Macon; N.
Berry, off Lumber City, am! Father
Gamble, each nearly a hundred years
old, came in the session leaning on
their canes. They ate on the "retired
list, but the* Bishop always gives
them great care. Of the eighteen
bishops of the A. M. E. convention
in America, Bishop Flipper perhaps
is the most Powerful of the group.
Dr. R. V. Branch, of Savannah,
will' invite the conference to Savan
nah. He will read the report on state
of the country, also discussing condi
tions in every phase. Richard D. At
inson. perhaps the greatest traveled
Negro, will speak on Practical- educa

in store. That will be pulled off Sat
urday night. Rev. L. B. Harris, of
Springfield, responded to the warm
words o'f welcome by the committee
and thanked the community for all
that they had done for the welfare
of the delegation.
