“FAST MAIL” ON STAGE
With Charles Jones, famous star of
the William Fox organization, in the
i-ole of Walter West, “'The Fast Mail'
a melodrama that still lives ;u the
memory of theatre goers after twen
ty years, comes to the Bijou theatre
today and tomorrow.
Jones and the “Fast Mail - ’ make a
combination that should fill the Bijou
theatre at e'or.v performance, for he
is particularly a n actor of action and
the drama i s simply crammed full
of it. Eileen Percy supports Jones,
and William Fox has invested the
production with wonderful sets that
help to bring out all the thrills of
the play.
‘T'lWFast Mail" "ns first produc
ed inH'JO by Lincoln J. (’after, and ■
it scß>d an instant success. So
its appeal that, five com
panies played it on the road at one
time, and its vogue continued until
motion pictures came into popular
fancy and filled the Place nheld by
the old melodramas.
No better vehicle could have been
obtained for the talents of Jones and
his appearance here indicates crowd -
ed houses.
