Some Country People in, But
Most of Buying is Done
by Brunswickians
The -fact that from early yester
day morning until late last night was
the coldest and most unpleasant pe
riod of the winter, did not seem to
keep Brunswickians from making
their holiday purchases and especial
ly was this true of those who have
automobiles. Last night up to 10
o’clock, closing hour, a majority of
the esjAliahments seemed to be do
ing a gSaj business.
It marabe said that not near the
number mi country shoppers were in
as Was expected and there
should*be no surprise as it rained
throughout a wide area of South
Georgia and the cold wave also ex
tended to these parts generally.
While the weather forecast says it
will not rain. But this is not defi
as cold and it is also forecast that it
will not rain. But this is not defi
nite, however, as this particular part
of the functioning departments of the
government spread warnings about
two weeks ago of a threatened cold
wave, but in its stead the warmest
Weather In the history of New Or

remembered that a number here in
Brunswick who had put away their

while overcoats were again put in the
cedar chest. / But everybody is hoping
that from the Present until after
Christmas- nature will be kind in the
shape of good weather^
