Atlanta, Dec. 20.—Gladys Hanson,
t!u> distinguished dramatic actress,
j who was born and reared here, will
be home to spend the holidays with
her family, now that she has secured
a divorce from er husband, Charles
Emerson Cook, according to dispatch
es from New York.
Miss Hanson is one of the most,
beautiful women on the American ■
stage, as well as one of the most tal
ented and successful. She has starred!
in many productions by Belasco and
other famous producers, as well as \
having scored in the motion pictures.
Some five years ago she was married
to Mr. Cook, a very successful the
atrical publicity man of New York,
and they came through Atlanta on
their honeymoon, and their horizon
seemed colored with the hues of the
rainbow.
Their lovely four-year-old daugh
ter is now at the home of Colonel P.
H. Snook, Miss Hanson’s father, and
her many friends here are genuinely
sorry that her matrimonial venture
was not successful and happy.
