Arden, an engineer in the employ j
of the Central of Georgia railway,
running between Savannah and Ma¬
con, disputes the claim of John Me
Waters, a locomotive engineer in At¬
lanta, that MoWaters is the oldest en
gineer in service in the United States.
Ardeu , has been with the Central
Railway as an engineer since 1871
and for three years previous to that
time was employed in rue shops of the
road at Savannah. He is believed to
be tile oldest engineer in point of
service in tlie United States.
