THEATRICAL
STORY OF INTENSE HUMAN
INTEREST IS '‘ADAM'S RIB’
A story with a real human interest
is “Adam’s Rib,” Cecil B. De Mine’s
latest Paramount which is coming to
the Bijou theatre today. The theme
of the production is the untanglement j
of the affairs of a husband and wife
by their young daughter, a typical
example of the sensible type of the
modern girl.
Anna Q. Nilsson, as Mrs. Ramsay, j
the wife of Michael Ramsajv a pros- j
perous Chicago business man played
by Milton Sills, has taken a fancy to
M. Jaromir (Theodore Kosloff), the
exiled king of,Morania. Her hus¬
band, fearing that he is going to lose
her, nits upon a plan to have Jaro
mir’s country recall him to the
throne.
Morania is in need of funds, and
Ramsay, an enormously rich man,
buys up all the wheat in Morania and
in return they recall Jaromir to his
throne, and he is thus gotten out
of the way. His wife returns to him,
after realizing that her interest in |
Jaromir was only a passing fancy.
Mr. De Mille in this production, i
■ has inserted a sort of “vision” scene |
similar to the noted “bacchanal.”

Rheumatism is easier to avoid than
to cure, states a well-known authority.
We are advised to dress warmly, keep
the feet dry, avoid exposure, and
above all, drink plenty of good water
and avoid eating sweets of all kind.
Rheumatism is caused by body
waste and acids resulting from food
fermentation. It is the function of
the kidneys to filter this poison from
the blood and cast it out in the urine;
the pores of the skin are rfi-n a means
of freeing the blood of this imparity.
In damp and chilly closed .-old weather the

Begin Taking Salts if You Feel ! \
Backachy or Have Bladder i
Weakness !
I
Too much rich food forms acids which |
excite and overwork the kidneys in i
their efforts to filter it from the system. j
Flush the kidneys like occasionally to re¬ !
lieve them you relieve the bowels, j
removing acids, waste and poison, else
you may feel a dull misery in the kid¬ i
ney region, sharp pains in the back or !
sick headache, dizziness, the stomach
sours, tongue is coated, and when the. j
weather is bad you have rheumatic
twinges. The urine is cloudy, full of i
sediment, the channels often get irri¬
tated, obliging one to get up two or
three times during the night. 9
To help neutralize these irritating
acids and flush off the body’s urinous
waste, begin drinking water. Also get
about four ounces of Jad Salts from
any pharmacy, take a tablespoon ful in
a glass of water before breakfast for
a few days and your kidneys may then
act fme and bladder disorders disappear.
This famous salts is made from the
acid of grapes and lemon juice, com¬
bined with Iithia, and has been used
for years to help clean and stimulate
sluggish Kidneys and stop bladder irri¬
tation. Jad Sails is inexpensive and
makes a delightful effervescent lithia
water drink which millions of men and
women take now and then to help pre¬
vent serious kidney and bladder dis¬
orders.
By all means, drink lots of good water
every day. Have your physician exam¬
ine your kidneys at least twice a year.

SAWGRASS PAPER
INDUSTRY WILL
BE BROADENED
Leesburg, Fla., Sept. 6 .—This sec- j
tion’s sawgrass paper industry will be
broadened to cover the transforming
of Florida weed into the finished pro- j
duct but for the present at least only j
“kraft” or commercial paper will be 1
manufactured, nouncemqnt. according to an an- j i
The r ecent publication of the Lees- j
burg Commercial, a weekly newspa- !
per, on print paper made of sawgrass.!
showed its practicability for that pur- ;
pose, promoters of the industry have
stated, but it has been found that the
value of this class of newsprint pre r j
vents its competition with the paper j
now on the market.
At present local machinery is avail¬
able only for converting the sawgrass
into paper pulp, the pulp is sent to
northern plants for the finishing
touches but plans are being made to
meet machinery here for the full evo
I lotion. It was the original plan to
manufacture print paper aiong with
commercial paper. For the present,
however, it is planned to confine oper¬
ations to the latter.
The Commercial, describing an edi- \
tion printed on sawgrass paper, said: 1
“While this edition shows that the i
manufacture of newsprint from saw- j
grass pulp is not only possible but 5
that it produces a superior grade of
newsprint, it probably will be a long ■
time before newsprint is made wholly j
j from this material. The reason for :
| this is that the raw pulp from which
| | the newsprint upon which the paper : 1
is printed was worth more than the
I paper after it was made would sell for j
I j in competition with ordinary news- j 1
print. This will be true as long as j
I the scarcity of pulp is not relieved by ;
! the extensive use of some new paper- ;
i making fibre like that now being pro
- duced here in the Leesburg; plant from :
i sawgrass. Go d news can be made!
! from cne-fifti: sawgrass fiber and
! four-fifths inferior ground wood ,
which is worth much less than the
I processed fiber obtained in the Lees
burg plant. In the manufacture of
I kraft wrapping it is unnecessary to
bleach the sawgrass fiber and very lit- 1
tie change is necessary in color to j
match the Swedish kraft now on the !
[ market. But the native strength of ;
j this fiber makes an ideal stock for this j
I paper and the price which it brings ;
| in comparison with the cost of mar.
i afafituro makes it the most attractive
j j field for the new industry to enter j
with its first mill.”
