Our Policy
fTAHE Standard Oil Company (Kentucky) of-
1 fers for sale only those petroleum products
which it guarantees can be used with per¬
fect safety and satisfaction and which will merit
the public’s confidence.
The Company’s markets are carried on a basis
yielding only a fair profit The Company does
not arbitrarily fix or change its markets. These
are governed by changes in costs of the raw ma¬
terial or the finished products and by the basic
law of supply .and demand over which the Com¬
pany has no control.
Years ago the Company inaugurated a policy by
which these petroleum products most generally
used could be had not only when required but
wherever required. This tank wagon delivery
service has been extended at an enormous ex¬
pense. It is the Company’s policy to charge for
its products delivered by tank wagons at remote
points only the difference, if any, in compara¬
tive freight rates to its distributing stations.
The Company desires to merit the public’s con¬
tinued and increased patronage, first of all on
the quality of its products, combined with its
convenient delivery service made possible by
efficient and loyal organization.

. Washington,..Sept.. 20,--The United
State's Navy'lids just completed an¬

interest and importance to mar¬

Cuba Survey, the mapping of the al¬
most unknown waters around that
island, undertaken in the interests of
American shipping as well as of na¬

Ever since its inception, it has been
the hope of the Navy Hydrographic
office to gather and make charts and
records of the waters of the entire
world, with, especial stress laid on
charting nearby areas. The Carib¬
bean and the Gulf of Mexico are so
full of unknown islands and large and
small coral reefs and cays, that in
