coffee, cake, candy, popcorn and oth

The bazaar is to be held for the

Miss Marion Wood, and her two
nieces, Renie Hopkins and Jean
Wood, of Brooklyn, N. Y.
It was decided that the club would
hold no 'more meetings until after the
holidays.

The Business and Professional
Women’s Club held its regular month¬
ly business meeting Tuesday evening
at the V. W. C. A., with a large at¬
tendance of enthusiastic members.
Officers were elected for the year as
follows: Mrs. C. E. Johnson, presi¬
dent; Mrs. S. L. High, vice president;
Miss Esther Clark, recording secre¬
tary; Miss Catherine Clark, assistant
secretary; Mrs. H. J. Hawkins, treas¬
urer.
A class in gymnastics was organ
ized under the capable leadership of

by serious illnesses, pneumonia and

announce the birth of a little daugh¬
ter at their home in New Orleans,
December 12th, who has been given
the name of Freda Singer. Mr. Wal¬
ker is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs.
R. E. Walker, of this city, and he has
many friends iwho will be pleased over
the announcement.

nie Nichols, have returned from Phil¬
adelphia. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips went
for the purpose of giving medical at¬
tention to their little daughter, Cath¬
erine, who is now greatly improved,
which is pleasing news to her many
friends.

a little daughter, December 11th, at
the city hospital, ;who has been nam¬
ed Barbara Jenette. Mrs. Goulding
