MANY MOURNERS FACED
RECORDER SYMONS TODAY
Nineteen cases were registered on
the police court docket this morning
rnd Recorder Symons spent more
than two hours in disposing oi them.
Most of the charges were for being
intoxicated and docketed for disorder¬
ly conduct. It seems that a storm in
police circles came Saturday after a
cairn which has prevailed for several
weeks. The total of the fines went
up to a good amount.
ONLY NINE DAYS LONGER
FOR DELICIOUS BIVALVE
April is the last “r” month and
lovers of the delirious oyster will have
to wait until September, the first “r”
month. Recently, though, people ' uve
used the oyster all summer. When
taken from deep water, although a
little cloudy, they compare in taste to
those gathered during the season nid
some folks make an all the year food
cf the fine bivalve. The season has
been excellent with the supply many
times equal to the demand.
FERRY BOATS REARED A
HARVEST AT HIGHWAY
Many Brumswickians went to St.
Simon's Sunday by way of the high¬
way and were taken over by various
ferry boats and it may be said that
the operators of these small craft
reaped a genuine harvest and hun¬
dreds availed themselves of the op¬
portunity offered to reach the island.
Not only Brunswick people but many
fior.i the section within a hundred
miles of the city came in and went
over also.
