BUCK JONES IN
“THE BIG HOP
TO SHOW HERE
The Ritz Theatre has secured Buck
Jones’ special production, “The
Hop,” featuring- Jobyna Ralston.
will be shown Monday only.
“The Big Hop” is the first picture
to be made by Buck Jones since he
became head of his own
company. It is a drama of
adventure in the air, but Buck .Tone
is still true to his famous horse Sil
ver, which plays a prominent part in
the picture, which includes an
ing sequence which is framed in a
thundering stampede.
It is said, that “The Big Hop” is by
far the most pretentious thing this
star has ever done. The story centers
ttbout a youth who finds it difficult to
settle down on his father’s ranch and
make himself useful. Gripped by the
lure of the air the rash .young man
decides to take a long chance--and
loses.
Those who have previewed the pic¬
ture declare that the character
frayed by Buck Jones brings out the
glamor of his personality as a new
revelation and that Jobyna Ralston
is more lovely than ever.
Many rich and expensive sets were
buil tfor this picture and the support¬
ing cast includes a number of familiar
names.
