GOITRE NOT A DISEASE
It has been brought to light by
scientific research that goitre is not
to be treated as a disease but as a
condition due to other bodily disturb¬
ances.
Dr. A. A Rock, Dept. I.-13, Box
.17, Milwaukee, VYis., a prominent
goitre specialist of 30 years’ experi¬
ence, has perfected a different meth¬
od of treatment that has proven un¬
usually successful. This same treat¬
ment is now being used by goitre suf¬
ferers all over the country with splen¬
did results.
The doctor states that goitre is a
condition whirl grows worse with
neglect and recommends immediate
attention no matter how small the
growth may appear. He strongly op
poses needless operations. I)r. Rock,
is the author of a copyrighted book
that tells how anyone may now treat
their goitre with his method. He has
published this book af his own ex¬
pense and will send a copy free to any¬
one interested. Write him today.

THEATRICAL
OAKIE HEADS BIG
CAST SHOWING IN
PICTURE AT RITZ
“Million Dollar Legs,” Paramount’s
Olympic Games comedy, which is
showing at the Ritz theatre today,
with an all-star comedy cast headed
by Jack Oakie, W. C. Fields, Lyda
Roberti, Ben Turpin, Hank Mann, An¬
dy Clyde, Susan Fleming and Dickie
Moore, is said to be a completely diz¬
zy burlesque which out-slap-sticks
slapstick.
The story begins in the Republic of
Klopstokia, where all the men are
named George and all the women,
Angela, and the President, W. C.
Fields, holds his job because he is the
best weight lifter in the country.
Jack Oakie plays the role of a red
hot, American brush salesman who
falls in love with one of Klopstokia’s
Angelas, and in order to save the de¬
funct treasury of the country, organ¬
an Olympic Team which can car
ry off all the international honors and
win an endowment offered by .Jack’s
boss, the brush king. So all of Klop¬
stokia, including the famous spy, Ma
ta Machree, “the woman no man can
resist,” journeys to Los Angeles for
Olympic Games, and there, in
spite of Mata’s dirty w’ork, good old
Klopstokia comes through.
“ROAR OF DRAGON”
WITH DIX AS HERO
Richard I)ix, stor of “Cimarron,”
“Secret Service” and other recent
romantic films, has an entirely new
kind of role in “Roar of the Dragon,”
the dramatic story of turbulent Man¬
churia, coming to the Bijou theatre
today.
In contrast to the rollicking, light¬
hearted character he usually por¬
trays, Dix is seen as a cyncial, disil¬
lusioned skipper of the Chinese river
service, with little faith in nten and
none at all in women.
His boat disabled by Chinese band¬
its, Dix and his varied group of pas¬
sengers take refuge in a small inter¬
ior village where they convert a form¬
er Mandarin’s palace, into a stockade.
Here, under fire from the bandits
and threatened by plague, Dix meets
and falls in love with a beautiful Rus¬
sian woman of mystery. Her calm
courage, her willingness to risk the
meanest, privation to remain with
him, rejuvenate IVix and he changes
from a selfish sluggard to a daring
leader of the beleaguered refugees.
The romance has as a stirring
background the teeming life of a
Chinese village, torn by civil strife
and ruthless bandit raids. A graphic
picture is presented of the chaotic
conditions of the Orient today.
Supporting Dix is Gwili Andre,
young Danish actress who created a
sensation in Hollywood even before
the release of her first picture. Tall,
slender, and with a striking blende
beaut\ , Miss Andre is a perfect foil
for Dix in this spirited film.
