School Opens With
Good Attendance
For the second time, the fall term of
the Alamo High School opened Monday
morning, after a two weeks’ suspen
sion, necessary to have some repairs
done to the building, with Prof. Carey
G. Metts, principal and Miss Josie
Cameron, assistant. The opening at
tendance was very good, and Prof.
Metts, assisted by Miss Cameion, took
up the grading of the pupils at the
beginning. He expects to have them
all graded and everything working •
smoothly in the school in a short while. I
The building, while not as comfort- j
able as desired, but will be used, how
ever, until the new building can be 1
completed, which, at best, will be the
first of the coming year. Alamo is in I
a good way to have one of the best (
schools in the state, and the trustees
and teachers are working hard to make
it so.
