Let Us Use The
Chalk
I You have doubtless, heard of the farmer who
kept his accounts on the barn door with chalk,
i and the bam burned down.
1 Did it ever strike you that you were in the same
kind of a when you pay your bills by cash? A
check is a receipt that can never be denied. ’ •
Suppose you let us use the chafe on our books
! instead of wasting it on your barn boor.

Spring Hill Box
Supper Net $65.
—•——-
Judge Kent of this place, attended
the box supper at Spring Hill last
Friday night, and assisted in disposing
of the many boxes prepared for the
occasion. In his usual good natured
way, he aroused the necessary enthu
siasm that always accomplishes some
thing, and when the proceeds of the
sale had been counted up, $65.00 were
fonnd in the possession of the treasurer,
saveral dollars more than at first had
been expected.
The object of the occasion was to
raise funds purchase presents to go on
a Christmas tree for the children most
needy in the community— ■ worthy
and commandible cause.
The Spring Hill folks believe in mak
ing a success out of every undertaking,
and on this occasion they were not go
ing to let the boxes of good things,
prepared by the pretty Spring Hili
girls, be knocked off without being paid
for. The Spring Hill folks can always
be counted on to do their best at every
thing they go at.
