Mr. W. J. Futral, cashier of

spent several days of this week

pany for the past eight months,
returned to his home in Dublin

Bright were visitors to friends
at Mcßae Sunday.
Mrs A. A. Morrison and fam
ily, who have been spending
some time here the guest of rela
tives, have returned to their old
home in Davisboro. Mrs. Mor
rison came here from Erick and
made many friends who regret
to have her and family leave.
Hon. Walter M. Clements, can
didate for congress from the
12th district, was in town this
week. Col. Clements feels at
home when he gets in Wheeler
county, as it is where be spent a
great portion of his bovhood
days. He spoke very encourag
ingly of his race, and met a lot
of his old friends.

Singing Convention
The Wheeler County Singing
Convention will meet at Long
Branch, on the fifth Sunday in
this month, with an all day sing
ing. Mr. Wm. Henry Clark is
president of the convention, and
desires that the occasion be one
of the best in its history. Every
body is invited to attend, and to
come with the intention of spend
ing a pleasant day. Ason former
occasions, plenty of the best eat
ables will be spread, such as the
good cooks of that community
know how to prepare. Let all
take notice and join with this
convention in having one of their
very best days.
If you want to get married or
take a trip, don’t forget to call at

the occasion. They carry an up

The farmers are busy prepar
ing for another crop year.
We are sorry to hear of Mr,
Paul Underwood being so ill but
hope he will soon recover.
Mrs. I. L. Hinson has been
quite ill for some time but is bet
ter at this writting.
Mrs. Lula Jones has returned
to her home in Scotland, after
spending some time with her
mother, Mrs. I. L. Hinson at
this place.
Mr. Oscar Brown spent the
week-end with his grandparents I
at Scotland.
Mr. W. H. Brown spent Mon
day in Alamo. 1
Misses Lillie Brown and Lula
Bailey spent Tuesday very
pleasantly with Miss Mattie Bell
Walters.
Our school is progressing
nicely.
Every body is invited to attend
services at the Christian church
the second Sunday in March.
