Forty-six warships are sent to
Mexico to force an apology from

Kepresentati ve Underwood and
Hobson, senatorial candidates in
One of the bitterest campaigns

house one day this week, the
first exchange between the two

The committee’s report on the
fate of Judge Speer is expected
to be given out on 22nd of this
month. The. nature of committee

In a recent issue of the
Country Gentleman an agri

on Georgia that gives some
striking information that ought
to attract the attention of the
country. An editorial in the
number gives endorsement of
the work of the Georgia Chamb

Booklets are being distributed
by the Georgia Chamber of Com

counties of Georgi#, and copies

by those interested in securing
for Georgia a system of high
ways that will aid materially in
reducing-the cost of transporta
tion of farm products and thus
help reduce the cost of living.
Particularly interesting is the
i ! lustration showing the cost of
hauling on roads of several
grades.
The electrocution of the four
gunmen at Sing Sing prison in
Albany New York last Monday
morning at an early hour, for the
murder of Rosenthal, closed the
last chapter of the four gamb
lers, one an Italian and three
Jews. A singular feature about
thecaseis these were the first
Jews on record to go to the
electric chair. Becker the fifth
one of the bunch, and a leader
of them, still lives, and has a
fighting chance. One of them
confessed two hours before
death, yet it. did not stay their
execution.
