Notige is hereby given that en the
9th day of September, 1914, an election
will be held at the usual place of held

date of January Ist. 1914, (or as soon
thereafter as the same may be vali
dated); to bear interest at the rate of
six (B) per cent. per anrum, payable
gemi-annually on the first day of Jan.
wnd July in each year; to be in denom
inations of Five Hundred Dollars
($500.00) each; the entire principal
amount of said bands te become due
and payable thirty (30) years from
date of issue; principal uni interest to
be paid in gold cein of the United
States, of the present standard of
weight and fineness, at the office of
gseme financial institution in the City of
New York, State of New York.
Polls will be open at ten o’clock, a.
m., and close at three o’cloek, p. m.,
at the Justice Court House in said tewn

for by Section 440, 441, 442 and 443 of
the Code of the State of Georyia, and
all laws amendatory thereof, and in ac
cordance with the provisions of the
Act approyed August 16th, 1913, and
with the ordinance of said town rela
tive to elections.

Ordinance is hereby made a part of
this notice and is as follows, to-wit:
ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY THE
MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF ALAMO
AUGUST Brd 1914.
Whereas, An Act to establish a sys
tem of Public Schools in the Town of
Alamo, Georgia, and to provide for a
Board of Education of Alamo, and for
other purposes, was duly approved on
August 16th, 1913; and
W hereas, at an election held in the
Town of Alamo on September 24th,
1913, said Act was duly ratified by the
qualified voters of said town; and
Whereas, said Board of Education ot
Alamo has been duly elected and quali
fied, and has duly recommended the
issuance of School Bonds in the sum
of Seven Thousand, Five Hundred
Dollars, and that the gnestion of their
issuance be submitted to the legally
qualified votere of the Town of Alamo
at an electien to be held for that

hereas, by the provisions of said
Act approved August 16th, 1913, it is
made the duty of the Mayor and Coun

election in the Wheeler County Eugle,
said notice to be as above set forth.
Be it further ordained, that all laws
and parts of laws of said town in con
flict with this ordinance be and the
same are hereby repealed.

Proposals will be received at the of

plans and specifications of said Court
House are on file in the office of said
Board of Commissioners, in said town
of Alame, and also at the office of E.
C. Hosford and Company, Architects,

The contractor will be required to
furnish all material and labor, and
build said Court house in a substantial,
good and workmanlike manner, to the
satisfaction of and under the super
vision of the Architects and the Board
of Commissioners.
The proposals for building said court
house will be considered at the effice of
said board of commissicners in the said
town of Alamo, on the 25th day of
August, 1914, beginning at the hour of
10 o’clock a. m.
The work of building said court house
shall commence en or before the 25th
day of September, 1914, and the said
| building must be completed on or be
i fore the 24th day of August, 1915.
The cost of said building shall not
exceed Thirty Thousand Dollars, and
thedpayments for said building shall be
' made in cash as follows, to-wit On
the first Tuesday of each month after
the work has been started, on presen
tation by the contracters to the county
Treasurer of a County Warrant prep
!erly filled out and signed by the proper
leounty officers of Wheeler county, a
| payment will be made to the contrac
| tor amounting to seyventy five per cent
,of the value of materials on the ground
-and the building and labor furnished,
' not previously paid for; the remaining
twenty five per cent and finul payment
! will be made on the final completion
| and acceptance of said buildinrg by the
; said board of commissiorere, and upen
[ the filing of an affidavit by the con
| tractor that all material and labor
i used in said building are paid for; the
