TELEPHONE No. 28.
Resolutions of the Wheeler
County Division of the
F. E., and C. 11. of A.
We, the Wheeler County Division of
the F. E. and C- U. of A., duly as
sembled on the 25th day of September,
1911, do most earnestly indorse the fol
lowing resolutions:
1. That we will hold the bulk of our
cotton until December 31st foj 10 cents
per pound, and our cotton seed for at
least 30 cents per bushel, as this will
hardly cover expenses of growing and
harvesting the crop.
2. That we will now begin to ar
range to plant at least 2 acres in wheat
to the plow, aad plenty of oats to raise
feedstuffjfor our stock, and flour for our
tables.
3. That we endeavor to raise hops
for our own meat, and some to sell to
those who do not farm. Let everv
farmer raise all the meat he can during
1915.
4. That we raise all the home ferti
lizers that w* possibly can, using some
of the time we are now devoting to
cotton to the raising of home fertilizeia
5. That we do not plant only gotten
enough to raise five bales to the plow,
and that we increase our corn, potato,
sugar cane, peavine hay and other
summer crops, and that we endeavor
to find a market for same through
co-operation.
6. That next spring, when we go to
the merchant to pet him to run us,
and lie asks us how much rotton we
are going to plant, tell him we are only
going to try to make five bajes of cot
ton to the plow,-and then let us stick
to it. and not let him persuade us to
plant more, and we do not think that
there will be an overproduction.
7. That we will buy our supplies
■where we can get the best for the
least money, as we feel thet we owe
this to our wives and children and to
ourselves, and that we have got to
take care of our own interests.
8. That we are going to stand by
our Farmers Union, let come what may,
as we believe this to be the only organ
ization through which we can educate
the farmers up to a business standard,
equal to other businesses of our
country. In eo-operating in buying
and selling our fatm products is the
only salvation of the farmer.
9. That we ask all farmeers that
are eligible to membership to j.in our
Union, thereby better enabling them
to co operate with us and help us to
carry out these resolutions.
10. Thal we watch our national and
state legislators and see that they help
us with proper laws to do the above
things, and if they do not work for
our internets that we leave them at
home at the next election.
11. That we ask the Wheeler County
Eagle and National Field t. publish
these resolutions.

found the ideal laxative drink. For
